How do I submit my manuscript to Inkwell Press?
Upload your manuscript on inkwell.net and review our standards at studio.inkwell.net. When you're ready, submit it by adding one of our team as a collaborator (requires a paid account). If we accept your manuscript, we'll waive the $5,000 Studio fee and publish your book for free.
How does the 7-day free trial and 2 months free work?
For monthly subscriptions, you get a 7-day free trial to explore all features. After 7 days, your subscription begins and you'll be charged each month. For yearly subscriptions, you save 2 months—instead of paying for 12 months, you only pay for 10 months upfront and get access for the full year.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards.
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, you can cancel at any time, and your plan will remain active until the end of your billing cycle.
What is ink?
Ink is the allowance your plan includes for Inkwell's AI tools, measured in drops. Heavier work spends more of it—looking up a citation costs a fraction of a drop, copyediting a chapter a few, indexing a whole book a good deal more. Your ink refills at the start of every month, and you can see how much is left under My Account. If you run out, the AI tools pause until it refills or you move to a larger plan; the rest of Inkwell is unaffected. Work run on your own OpenAI or Anthropic key is billed by that provider and spends no ink at all.
Who is eligible for the students and faculty discount?
Anyone with an education or academic email address (.edu or similar academic domains) automatically qualifies for a 50% discount on individual plans.
How do I apply the students and faculty discount?
The discount is applied automatically during checkout when you sign up with your academic email. You'll see the 50% discount reflected in your final price before completing your purchase.
