Gen­er­al Pro­ject Set­tings

Pro­ject set­tings

To ac­cess the glob­al project set­tings, click the on the left side of the screen. Mod­i­fy­ing any project set­tings will af­fect the en­tire project. Pro­ject set­tings are avail­able for:

  • Page Lay­out

  • Page Num­bers

  • Head­ers

  • Chap­ters

  • Para­graphs

  • Head­ings

  • Ta­bles

  • Foot­notes/End­notes

  • Math

  • Fig­ures

  • Num­bered Lists

  • Bul­let Lists

Page Lay­out

Page Lay­out set­tings in­clude page height and width, page mar­gins, and font size.

Page Num­bers

Page num­bers can be en­abled or dis­abled. When the page num­bers are en­abled, Inkwell al­lows you to choose the po­si­tion of the page num­bers ap­pear­ing in ei­ther the top out­er or bot­tom cen­ter po­si­tion.

You can also change the ap­pear­ance of the page num­bers here as well, in­clud­ing op­tions for font, font size, line height, and a bold or ital­ic font.

Head­ers

You can en­able or dis­able both types of head­ers. You can also choose:

  • Po­si­tion of the odd or even head­er

  • The con­tent that is dis­played in the head­er (Book ti­tle or chap­ter ti­tle)

  • Font and font size

  • Line height

  • Bold or Ital­ic

Chap­ters

Chap­ter set­tings al­low you to choose what hap­pens when you start a new chap­ter. The set­tings al­low you to have run­ning chap­ters, start a chap­ter on a new page, or start a new chap­ter on a new even or odd page.

You will also have the op­tion to start a chap­ter with a drop cap or change the num­ber of columns here.

If your chap­ter ti­tle is par­tic­u­lar­ly long, you can as­sign a Short Ti­tle so that the chap­ter ti­tle will fit in the head­er.
