Keyboard Shortcuts
Everything in Inkwell can be done with the mouse, but these shortcuts save a lot of round-trips to the toolbar.
Mod means Ctrl on Windows and Linux, Cmd on a Mac.
Formatting

Heading levels nest, so a level is only available where it makes sense — you cannot make a Subsection without a Section above it. If a shortcut appears to do nothing, check the style dropdown: the level you asked for is probably greyed out.

Enter inside a comment starts a new line rather than sending it, so a comment can offer two possible fixes on two lines.
Tab
Tab and Shift-Tab do whichever is appropriate to where you are:
- In a table, move to the next or previous cell.
- In a list, indent or outdent the item.
Inside a table, Arrow Up and Arrow Down move between rows.
Typing shortcuts
Some things are easier to type than to insert. Inkwell rewrites these as you go:

† Only in a scripture edition — switch on Chapters and Verses under General in Project
Settings, and see Chapter And Verse. In an ordinary project these do nothing, and
\v stays the text you typed.
If a substitution is not what you wanted, Mod-Z immediately afterwards reverts just the substitution and leaves what you typed.
Cross-references
Typing one of these words followed by a space opens a reference picker, so you can point at a chapter, appendix, heading, equation, figure, or table and let Inkwell keep the number correct:

Choose from the list with the arrow keys and Enter. The reference updates itself if things move around later, which is why it is worth using instead of typing the number.
Appendix follows the Label you set in Project Settings → Appendices — rename it to
"Annex" and "Annex " is what opens the picker. Each of your callout kinds is a trigger of its
own as well, under the kind's own name.
