Collaboration
Inkwell has a very sophisticated collaboration model.
To invite someone to collaborate on your project, click Collab in the Tools menu.

Clicking on this menu option will open a Collaborators screen that displays the current active collaborators and their assigned role. There are four types of collaborators within Inkwell and each type offers a different level of access to the project. The types include Administrate, Edit, Read, and Frozen. Note that the Administrator of the project is the only role that can invite another collaborator to join the project.
A user that is granted the Administrate or Edit role can add comments and edit the work, while a user with the Read role can add comments and read the work, but not perform any edits.
An Administrator may choose to temporarily move a user to Frozen. This role grants read-only access to the user for a specific version of the book. This role is particularly useful during final edits.

To invite a new collaborator, type the user’s email address in the Invite box, then choose the appropriate role, include a message in the invite if desired, and click the Invite button. An email invitation to collaborate on the project will be sent to them.
The new collaborator must click on the Accept Invite button within the email that they receive. Once the invitation is accepted, the collaborator will see the project in their list of projects in Inkwell.
Editing as a Collaborator
Depending on the role assigned, a collaborator can edit the document in question. To see edits that have been made by other collaborators, click on the View menu and then click on View Other’s Edits. Each chapter that contains edits made by other users will have the red comment boxes next to the chapter name.
All changes made by other collaborators within the chapters themselves will be highlighted in purple.
To accept the edits in the chapter, highlight the text in question and click on the green checkmark at the bottom of the editing window. To reject the edit, highlight the text and click on the red X. If there are multiple edits, click on the right arrow to advance to the next edit.
To view your own edits, click on the View menu and then click on View My Edits. Your edits will be highlighted in green.
